Fast food are junks and expensive- with proof

I could remember a TV food show i watched sometime ago, some families were driving around town and were being forced to feed their families with fast food because they could not afford homemade meals for their family. In that same movie, the same family went to a grocery shop claiming they can't afford fresh food either. One of their children wanted pear and the parents said they can't afford that as well and scolded the child . In this article, we are going to find out if it is cheaper to live off fast food or buy real food from your favorite store or grocery. Continue reading this article to find out more.
If this family is to buy their meal off the dollar menu with all the essentials like sodas and fries, I am sure they wouldn't spend less than ten dollars. Let's take the same ten dollars spent on eating out in some nice restaurant or fast food joint to a grocery store, you will be able to buy a bag of carrots for about seventy-nine cents, five pound of potatoes for two dollars, a dozen egg for one dollar, gallon of milk for two dollars, a loaf of bread for around one dollar, a pound of pasta for one dollar, tomato sauce jar for around one dollar as well as a tub of peanut butter for not more than one dollar. As you can see, the same amount spent on feeding your family off the dollar menu can still be used to feed your family breakfast, lunch as well as dinner and you are surely going to have some leftover of raw food stuff in your kitchen.
Ten dollar will not do a lot but it is pretty much better than one meal serving in a restaurant with your family. You get the same nourishment in your house for a full day for the same cost of one meal. And another ten dollars added to what you have on ground will give you a different round of food items all together to compliment what you already have in the kitchen. Banana is one of the most affordable fruit out there and to get more vegetables you can buy onion and garlic for not more than two dollars. Other food items you can get are beef for two dollars, additional pasta for one dollar, egg for one dollar, tomato sauce for $1, two cans of peas or green beans whichever is your choice for only two bucks(dollars) and you have another food stuff to last you and your family for 2 days.
You can have egg and milk for breakfast. You can make peanut butter sandwiches and carrots or preferably baked potatoes for lunch and spaghetti and toast for dinner. After your second shopping, you can branch out and get other things that you don't have because you will have leftover of various items you have bought previously.
Try to stick to simple, nutrient packed food and you will get sufficient calories, fiber, minerals and vitamin from a very low cost menu. This is not something extraordinary if you are on a limited income, stop wasting you cash consuming food that are not of any benefit to you. Fast foods, soda and fries are not health wise, soda in particular does nothing good for you. You can still eat a good meal spending real less.so i hope you now know that fast food are junks and expensive
